Vitalframe Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Your health data stays on your devices. Vitalframe has no servers of its own and no analytics, and your health data never goes anywhere you did not send it. The only thing that leaves your devices is what you choose to post on the optional feedback board, described below.

What Vitalframe stores, and where

How data moves between your iPhone or iPad and your Mac

You choose one of two paths, and both are direct:

What we do not do

Optional connections you turn on yourself

Vitalframe is useful with none of these. Each is off until you enable it, and each is a direct connection from your device to that service:

Credentials you enter are stored in your device's Keychain and are sent only to the service they belong to.

Feedback board

Feedback is optional, never needed to use Vitalframe, and never contains your health data unless you type it in yourself. What you post on the feedback board (suggestions, bug reports, comments, screenshots you attach, Beta Chat messages and votes) is stored in Apple's iCloud, in a public database shared by our apps, and is visible to other people using the board. Reading and posting need no account. Voting and closing items use Sign in with Apple, which shares only your name and a user identifier, never your email address. Posts are linked to that identifier so you can edit and delete them, and are never used for tracking or advertising. You can report or block posts. Delete My Feedback & Account, in the board's Account screen, deletes everything you wrote there and your board account.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is processed by Apple through the App Store. Vitalframe never sees your payment details. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID, which is how Restore works on another device, and it covers your Mac, your iPhone, your iPad and your family group.

Exports you create

PDF reports, CSV files and backups are written wherever you choose to save them. Once a file is in your hands, it is yours and outside the app's control.

Children

Vitalframe is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone apart from what a person chooses to post on the feedback board.

Retention and deletion

Everything Vitalframe holds lives in a single SQLite database inside the app's container on your Mac, and it stays there until you remove it. There is no retention period on our side, because we never receive it. To delete it, open Sources and Sync, then Stored Data, then Delete All Data, which removes every record, journal entry and profile detail. Deleting the app removes the database with it. If you used the iCloud Drive path, delete the Vitalframe folder in your iCloud Drive to remove the synced copy. There is none of your health data for us to delete or hand over, because none of it ever reaches us. Feedback board posts stay until you or a moderator delete them.

Health data we read

The iPhone and iPad app reads only the Apple Health categories you grant, read only, and only those Vitalframe displays: activity and steps, heart and cardio, respiratory, sleep, body measurements, glucose, mobility, nutrition, mental wellbeing, hearing and workouts. You can change or withdraw any of these at any time in the Health app under Privacy and Apps, and Vitalframe keeps working with whatever you leave on. Health data is never used for advertising and is never sold or shared. It is never stored in iCloud except by your own choice of the iCloud Drive transfer, which uses your private container.

Your rights

Your health data never reaches us, so there is nothing of it to request or delete from us. To remove your data from Vitalframe, delete the app; to remove the synced copy, delete the Vitalframe folder in your iCloud Drive. To remove what you posted on the feedback board, use Delete My Feedback & Account in the board's Account screen, or write to the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the current version is always published here.
